Here are some previous stars of the week. I apologize for the delay getting them on!

Alyssa brought in her special bunny and shared goldfish with us!

Alana was an awesome star of the week! She taught us some Spanish when her special Grandma Doll sang traditional nursery rhymes.

Yee-Haw!!

In Social Studies, we have been studying about Texas, its historical figures and traditions. The culmination of it was our Go Texan Day activities. Although only first graders participated in the parade, we had fun watching them and doing cowboy/cowgirl activities in our rotations. Of course, dressing up was a lot of fun! A big thank you to Mrs. Wendy Nieto and Mrs. Kaori Kato Edwards for heading up the "Giddy-up relay race" in our room and also to Mikey's, Mia's, and Isabelle's family that contributed with the stick horses.

Go Texan Day

Howdy Parents,
Go western day is right around the corner, Friday, February 22th, and the kindergarten cowpokes are roundin’ up for a good ol’ time!
Dress your cowboy or cowgirl in their best western wear if you so wish. Kindergarten students will be having a western round up (crafts and activities) from 11:00-12:20 on February 22th .Kindergarten will be rotating through the classrooms, much like the Holiday rotation we had. It is not a party, just a fun day for the kids.
Much Obliged,
Mrs. Cox

Thank you!

A big thank you to Patrick's family, Emma M.'s family, Parker's family and Carlos's family for stocking us up on tissues and hand sanitizer! Now we won't have to recur to the scenario below! :)

Ah-choooo! Runny noses alert!

This is the time of year that even the toughest  of us in Kinder gets the sniffles and is coughing at one point or another. We need urgent donations of tissues and hand sanitizer to hold us off for a few weeks; Parker's mom sent in  Kleenex today and it was very needed, so thank you! A big thank you also to Chris's mom for the huge rolls of paper towels.
I am so blessed to have you all as parents that are always there to help out when we need it! Have a great day,
Mrs. Cox

100th day reminder

The 100th day of school is tomorrow! We will all be dressing up as if we were 100 years old and will be doing 100 day counting activities after the parade. Remember that new check-in procedures are in place, so bring your driver's license for official identification. Thank you to all the parents that have already donated items for our counting activities. I hope to see you tomorrow!
